Welcome to Nox-Lumos!

This is a Harry Potter RPG set in Harry's 7th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry has returned to school under the intense begging of his friends and the new headmistress, Professor McGonagall. That's when the trouble starts. The love trouble, that is.

After reading this letter please read the thread titled 'The Plot' to find out about the love trouble and also before applying for a character, as the plot may effect your choice.

If you are relatively new to role-playing, please see the thread titled 'Role-Playing Tutorial' to learn role-playing etiquette.

SCHOOL STARTS ON APRIL 1st, 2007! ANY THREADS IN HOGWARTS WILL BE MOVED PRIOR TO THAT DATE. Posts in boards not affiliated with Hogwarts will be kept as long as they don't refer to the students being in school. Any teachers who have created classes/class rules, don't worry, your threads will stay there.

Expectations of play
~This site has a PG-13 rating. (Nothing past 2nd base unless approved by the admins and you must put a warning in your thread title)

~You must be active and sign on atleast once a week, unless you've posted in the vacation board. Accounts that haven't loggen on for more than 3 weeks will be deleted.

~Posts should usually be at least a paragraph (4-7 sentences) in length. We do make exceptions though. Everyone gets writer's block at some point!

~Please post in the correct format (see 'role-playing tutorial').

~Please don't double post unless you really need to. That's what the edit button is for.

~You are allowed to RP in two places at once.

~If you apply for more than one character, make them all on seperate accounts so it's not confusing.

~Your display name should be the first and last name of your character. It is okay to use a nickname as the first name or to put it in quotes or parenthesis between the names.

~Make sure you apply for a celebrity for your character. All plot characters already have celebrities, so you need to make sure your graphics have that character on them. If you are a teacher we would prefer that you use the actor who plays the teacher in the movies as your celebrity if there is one.

~Please try to have a graphical representation of your charactor in your profile. You can request graphics at the Graphics Request boards!

~Read the stickeyed threads, they're all important!

~If you wish to leave the site, please post a leaving thread.

~You can drop a character, but you have to post a thread in the vacation section.

~You can have as many characters as you can keep track of, but if we feel that you are not taking proper care of your characters then we will tell you to put one or two up for adoption.
